Sarah Pointing Music Studio offers private lessons for Piano or Theory.

Lessons are usually weekly, of 30 minutes duration for beginner to Grade 3; 45 minutes for Grades 4 to 6; and an hour lesson for the more advanced (or extra keen!).

Lessons are invoiced at the beginning of term and are 30 day invoices. I can offer some flexibility for adult students who may have work or uni commitments, like paying by the week, or a fortnightly lesson (instead of weekly).

Lessons are conducted at my home studio in Mitchelton, Queensland.

I teach using a mixture of practical application, theory, and listening activities to promote a well-rounded learning experience. The tools I give students right from the beginning will allow them to be more independent later on, being able to read music and learn pieces on their own.

I focus on making learning the piano an enjoyable experience for all ages and have fabulous results with my students.

We run a yearly end-of-year concert which gives the students an opportunity to perform for family and friends and is always a wonderful, fun afternoon.

2023 fees are:

30 minutes – $40
45 minutes – $60
60 minutes – $80

These prices are in line with the Queensland Music Teachers’ Association’s minimum recommended fees for a Professional member.
